Professor Romualdo started BJJ as a child in Brazil, and has been an active competitor in BJJ & MMA since. A competitor with literally hundreds of gold medals to his name on multiple World stages across every rule set. More importantly, he is also a fantastic teacher.
Gracie Barra Buda was founded in 2021 and is headed by Professor Romualdo Lucas de Andrade, who as a jiu-jitsu competitor has achieved prestigious titles at Worlds, Pan-American, Brazilian Nationals, and the Brazilian State Championships. Prof. Romualdo’s dedication, skills and passion for Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu (BJJ) – combined with his background as a top competitor coach makes him one of Gracie Barra’s most sought after instructors. Gracie Barra Buda is a part of the Gracie Barra Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Team, which includes more than 2,000 schools on six continents, making it the largest Brazilian Jiu Jitsu team on the planet. As a member of Gracie Barra Buda, students have the benefit to train at any Gracie Barra Official Location around the world! Open 7 days a week, we offer various group classes per week taught by numerous instructors who are also decorated competitors in their sports. Our programs and classes provide ever-evolving teaching and support to our members to help develop students so they may efficiently reach their personal goals, whatever they may be – competition, training as a hobby, improving athleticism and health – all while learning martial art discipline. Professor Ron Hutto has been teaching Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu for nearly a decade. Professor Ron has helped oversee the growth of Gracie Barra Buda as the head of the morning class is an excellent Teacher & Coach. Professor Orlando Bernal has been teaching Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu for over a decade. Professor Orlando has helped oversee the growth of Gracie Barra Buda and students still come from all over the Austin area to train with him. Professor Alton Hill has been training BJJ for more than a decade and is also a great instructor. He’s a leader among the 7am crew and an excellent training partner no matter where you find him. Also, an excellent human being. John has been training BJJ for nearly 20 years. He is an excellent teacher and human being. Tim found Jiu Jitsu later in life through the experience of his children and enjoys teaching others and training BJJ for self improvement.
